About the Name

Why Discovery? Well, it's quite simple really, people love to discover things. Moreover, we tend to remember the things we discover for ourselves better than the things that are simply explained to us. That's why the focus is on you learning the language you need in a way that engages, entertains and encourages you to discover the words and rules which enable effective communication in English.

A Little About Me

Originally from a town known as the home of rugby, Twickenham in the south-west of Greater London, England. I have been teaching English in Nitra and Bratislava since 2014. During this time, I have worked with and learnt from world-renowned names in the business of language tuition. I have a keen interest in all the latest research and discoveries related to the acquisition of knowledge and the creative ways in which it is being applied to make our learning endeavours a little easier.

After finishing school, I worked for a short time in the construction industry and studied carpentry and joinery at college. Although I still like to work with my hands on occasion, I soon discovered it wasn't for me. So, I moved into the world of IT. I stayed in this field for 13 years in one capacity or another. I worked as a Technical Specialist, Technical Writer, Trainer, Project assistant, and Company director.

When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family, hiking, skiing and playing golf.
